heard francis chan speak this past friday, one of his last before he and family head to asia to see where God is leading them for the next step in their lives. reminded, in an anecdotal way, that what the world finds so weird and strange may just be what is closely aligned with His word. crazy love is weird. crazy love meant forsaking the rights of a perfect Son for our reconciliation and salvation. what "weirdness" to follow.
saturday we biked a 100K for the make-a-wish foundation. 62 miles through the 'burbs -- plano, allen, lucas, parker, murphy, richardson -- on a glorious tx fall day. made up for a rain-out on the day of the bonham rally.
last year we thought we'd be doing our first and last marathon together. not so. some friends asked us if we would be interested to run together with their team for world vision. just couldn't pass up the cause and the org, esp. w/ sponsored children of our own. looks like we'll be pavement pounding 26.2 in december! if you'd be so inclined to join in giving, we'd love to have you partner with us for such a worthwhile initiative.
